We believe that everyone has the right to a better future.
Our staff and volunteers are passionate about tackling homelessness and disadvantage. Every day, they give hope and support to people who face challenges including substance use, mental ill health, domestic abuse, homelessness and poverty.
As part of this support, our Building Better Futures appeal is helping to provide accommodation for rough sleepers, and we are on track to achieve our goal of 200 new homes by April 2026.
Thanks to generous donations from our supporters we have raised over £1 million so far from this appeal, which has directly helped to fund:
- the development of 138 homes for people sleeping rough
- the delivery of intensive tenancy support for over 159 people who were sleeping rough
- the support of over 141 people to maintain their own tenancy.
All of this dedicated work has helped people like Colin to move away from a life on the streets.
“Living in a doorway, freezing cold 24/7 is not a good feeling. Framework found me a home and helped me get off the streets for good.” Colin.
The impact of the support we are able to offer via funds raised from the Building Better Futures appeal is not only life changing; it is life saving.
Barry was a prolific rough sleeper with poor mental health who had been in and out of prison all his life. He was a frequent user of emergency services with regular instances of overdose and self-harm. Since moving into his own property he remains out of prison, is engaging with mental health services, and is managing his mental health well.
Martin had been sleeping rough with spells in and out of prison since 2014. Since being given his own accommodation with the support of Framework’s Housing First team, his health has improved considerably and he has remained out of prison for the longest period in his life.
We continue to work hard to support people off the streets and into their own accommodation.
The current economic climate and the cost of living crisis means that our Building Better Futures appeal is now more urgent than ever. A building development in Nottingham is in jeopardy, impacted by the rising cost of building materials. Other developments and building projects could also be delayed as costs rise.
If you would like to make a donation to support our Building Better Futures appeal, you can find out more on our dedicated appeal page.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported this appeal so far. With your support we are building better futures for some of the most at-risk people in our communities.
