An opportunity to make a difference
We are recruiting new members to the Framework Board.
These are important appointments as the Board is responsible for the charity’s governance, strategy and financial wellbeing.
We are keen to attract applicants from the areas where we work – people who share our values and ethos and are committed to making a difference in the life chances of the people we support.
We welcome applicants from all walks of life, preferably with experience of board membership, and are particularly looking for people with expertise in housing or a qualification in finance or accounting.
At least two successful candidates will also become members of the Audit and Risk Management Committee (ARM), with one having future aspirations to become the Chair of the ARM Committee.
One of our current board members, Catherine Arkley, expressed:
“I never regretted making that application. The Board takes making new Board appointments very seriously and is keen to recruit a diverse, effective Board. You need to be prepared to give time and make an effort, but it’ll be worthwhile.”
About Framework
Framework is a registered charity and registered provider of social housing, delivering housing, health, employment and support services to people with a diverse range of needs.
Our 70 services across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and Sheffield support more than 18,000 people each year and accommodate more than 1,300 people at any one time.
Previous Trustee, Patrick Mitchell, said that “the role with Framework was hugely rewarding by being able to meet those who were or had experience homelessness and learning about their lived experiences.
“Framework has a strong Board and senior leadership that always keeps the service user at the heart of what it does. The energy and effort expended on getting things right was impressive.”
Sitting on our board isn’t just about governance – you’ll get the chance to meet service users, see impact first hand, and make a real difference to people’s lives.
