Southwell Minster Carol Service
Celebrate the Light of Christmas
You are invited to attend Framework’s Christmas Carol Service on Friday 4th December at Southwell Minster.
This is an opportunity to sing along to your favourite Christmas carols with the Southwell Minster Chorale, be among the first to see Framework’s Community Quilt, and find out more about our work to support people experiencing homelessness this Christmas.
First Look at the Framework Community Quilt
We’re delighted that this year’s Carol Service will feature the first public unveiling of Framework’s Community Quilt, created to celebrate our 25th anniversary.
Made up of more than 250 individually designed textile panels created by people aged 5 to 85, the quilt brings together contributions from service users, schools, scout groups, faith groups, community organisations, Framework staff, and supporters from across the region. Each panel tells its own story, and together they form a remarkable representation of warmth, security, and community spirit.
Doors open at 6.15pm for a 7pm start, and following the service there will be an opportunity to enjoy festive refreshments in the Minster and spend time viewing the Community Quilt.
Admission to the service is free of charge, but there will be a collection in aid of Framework’s vital work, and we hope people will give generously.
The collection will support our efforts in introducing a team of Engagement & Enrichment Workers. For people who have experienced homelessness, moving into a home is a life-changing first step. But years of trauma and exclusion can leave people struggling to reconnect with the community. Engagement & Enrichment Workers provide practical support and opportunities that help people move beyond survival and begin rebuilding fulfilling, independent lives. Your gift could help make that support available to more people.
