Specsavers raise over £9,000 for Framework

Catrin Stewart

Specsavers and Framework colleagues

We’re sending a huge thank you to the team at Specsavers’ Nottingham support office, who have raised an incredible £9,133.69 for Framework over the past 12 months.

Led by their enthusiastic sports and social team, colleagues at Cirrus House—Specsavers’ Nottingham base on the NG2 Business Park—put their hearts into a packed year of fundraising. From bake sales and raffles to their annual summer party, their creative events helped build a fantastic total that will go directly toward supporting people affected by homelessness across the East Midlands.

We were delighted to welcome members of the Specsavers team as they handed over a cheque to Claire Eden, our Head of Fundraising and Communications. Speaking about the donation, Claire said:

“It’s always humbling when a local business chooses Framework as a charity partner, but being linked with a major retailer such as Specsavers is incredible. They have gone above and beyond and have raised a significant amount of money that will make a big dent in the £150,000 we need to raise for Lee House, our new purpose-built accommodation units for former rough sleepers. We look forward to sharing our work with them and supporting their fundraising. Thank you from all at Framework and from the future tenants of Lee House!”

The fundraising effort was spearheaded by Lisa Dobbs, who leads the sports and social committee at Cirrus House. Reflecting on the past year, Lisa said:

“We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from all of our colleagues over the past year of fundraising and are thrilled to have raised such a substantial amount. It’s fantastic to support a charity who are doing such incredible work for people in our local community.”

Lisa also highlighted how the team’s efforts aligned with Specsavers’ wider mission to support people experiencing homelessness. Through national partnerships with Crisis, Vision Care for Homeless People, and The Big Issue, Specsavers is working to improve access to eye care for some of the most vulnerable people in society—helping to overcome barriers like not having a permanent address, which can prevent people from accessing NHS services.

Once again, thank you to everyone at Cirrus House for your amazing support. We’re proud to have you as part of our community. Developments like Lee House simply wouldn’t happen without the generous fundraising and donations from our supporters.
