Help shape the future of homelessness support

Claire McGonigle, CEO

We’re turning 25 this year at Framework, and while it’s a moment to reflect on everything that’s been achieved, it’s also very much about what comes next.

Over the past quarter century, more than 25,000 people have been supported to move away from homelessness and rebuild their lives. Every one of those journeys matters. But with demand growing and challenges across the sector continuing, we know there is more to do and more people to reach.

We’re looking for someone with financial expertise to join our Board of Trustees. It’s a voluntary role, but one with genuine influence. You’ll help shape our strategy, support good decision-making and make sure we’re using our resources in the best possible way for the people who rely on us.

Framework supports around 18,000 people each year through a wide range of services across the East Midlands. From housing and health to employment and tailored support, our work is all about helping people build safer, more stable futures. Behind the scenes, our Board plays a key role in making sure we stay focused, resilient and ready to respond to whatever comes next.

If you’re wondering what it’s like to be part of the Board, those who’ve been there describe it as both rewarding and eye-opening. Former Vice Chair Patrick Mitchell said: “This was a hugely rewarding role, particularly in being able to meet those who were experiencing or had experienced homelessness and to learn about their lived experiences. Framework has a strong Board and senior leadership that always keeps the service user at the heart of what it does. The energy and effort expended on getting things right was impressive.”

Prof Brigitte Scammell adds: “If you care deeply about tackling disadvantage and inequity, you will feel at home here this is a Board united by strong values and a shared commitment to making a real difference.”

If you have a background in finance and want to use your skills in a way that really matters, we’d love to hear from you. And if it’s not quite right for you, please do pass it on, you might know someone who would be a brilliant fit.
