Framework is transforming fundraising with Access Charity CRM

Catrin Stewart, Senior Communications Officer

At Framework, we’re always looking for new ways to make our fundraising more efficient, data-driven, and impactful — so we can dedicate more time and resources to the people we support. One of the biggest steps forward on that journey has been our partnership with The Access Group and our use of Access Charity CRM.

This intuitive, flexible system has helped us strengthen supporter relationships, streamline internal processes, and raise more funds to deliver on our mission: creating homes and communities where people can thrive.

Smarter Fundraising, Stronger Results

Our team support more than 18,000 people across housing, health, employment, and support services every year. With that comes a responsibility to make every pound — and every relationship — count.

Since implementing Access Charity CRM, we’ve seen major improvements in how we manage data, communicate with supporters, and measure our fundraising impact.

Key outcomes so far:

  • Ā£23,000 extra in Gift Aid, achieved with far less manual work
  • Significant time savings through automation of updates and reports
  • Cleaner, more accurate donor data
  • Increased team confidence and independence through expert training and consultancy
  • Powerful analytics revealing trends in donor behaviour and regular giving
  • Seamless integration with tools such as JustGiving for smoother workflows

Streamlining our workflow

One of the most transformative results has been the increase in Gift Aid revenue.

ā€œWith Access, we were able to run reports identifying donors eligible for Gift Aid,ā€ explains Caroline Hannigan, Framework’s Supporter Engagement, Income and Database Manager.
ā€œUsing the CRM’s mass update function, we updated four years’ worth of records in the background — a process that used to take months. This time, it was done seamlessly, saving a huge amount of admin time.ā€

That efficiency translated directly into results — Ā£23,000 in additional Gift Aid — helping power our Building Better Futures campaign and increase our impact across the East Midlands.

Better Insights, Better Relationships

With cleaner, more detailed data, Framework can now connect with supporters in more personal, relevant ways.

ā€œWe now know exactly who to speak to and when,ā€ says Caroline.
ā€œThe analytics have been invaluable in spotting patterns in regular giving, and the insights we can present to the team help shape our fundraising strategy.ā€

Improved donor segmentation means communications are targeted and effective — contributing to higher engagement and improved fundraising outcomes.

Looking Ahead

Access Charity CRM has already transformed how we manage donors and fundraising operations — but this is just the beginning.

As we continue refining our analytics, automating more processes, and learning from data insights, we’re excited to find new ways to grow our impact and deepen supporter relationships.

ā€œAccess is user-friendly, flexible, and makes storing and managing donor data simple,ā€ Caroline concludes.
ā€œIt saves time, reduces errors, and ensures we have the information we need to engage donors effectively.ā€

We’re incredibly grateful to The Access Group for their ongoing partnership, expertise, and shared commitment to helping us achieve more for the communities we serve.
