Framework’s Young Supporters Awards 2025

Jade White

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting our fourth annual Young Supporters Awards – a heartwarming celebration of all the fantastic young people who have given up their time to fundraise and raise awareness about Framework over the past year.

Held at Djanogly Theatre, we were proud to welcome three outstanding groups and over 20 individual awardees! From Sleep Outs to bake sales to sponsored runs, these inspiring fundraisers have collectively raised a tremendous total of £10,500 for Framework! Every penny raised has been earmarked for our Building Better Futures fundraising appeal to help build new homes for rough sleepers.

This year, we were lucky to be joined by Steve Watson (Framework’s Director of Homelessness Services) and guest speaker Izzie Miller (Mindset Strategist and Founder of Youni Retreats) to host the event.

The audience found great resonance in Izzie’s speech. She applauded these young people’s kindness and courage in helping people they had never met. But more importantly, she shared a powerful message: To be kind and courageous to others, you must be kind and courageous to yourself.

After giving every child a mirror, Izzie led a session on positive affirmations. Hope, confidence, and self-worth flooded the theatre as the children spoke kind words to their reflections. The children even got to take their mirrors home as a reminder of their inner strength and value.

Following Izzie’s incredible speech, the spotlight turned to our awardees. One by one, each child was recognised for their extraordinary efforts to help others and came forward to receive their certificate and trophy.

We also celebrated our new Youth Patron, Lewis Smith, and thanked our previous Youth Patron, Isa Bicer, who has been such a powerful voice for Framework.

A close friend of Isa’s and inspired by his fundraising efforts, Lewis took on two big running challenges whilst raising money for Framework last year: the Mini Great North Run and the Robin Hood Mini Marathon. He also took part in the Central Notts Scouts Sleep Out as well as a virtual Sleep Out organised by Isa! We are so excited to see how Lewis will shape the role of Youth Patron next year.

I am very happy and honoured to be given this role. I wanted to take on this role because I was inspired by Isa. Homelessness is a very important issue, so taking this role is just the right thing to do. I want to try to fundraise as much as possible by using my running. I also want to try to think of other fun ways to help encourage others to get involved and help fundraise and help support Framework in any way that they can

As always, thank you to Djanogly Learning Trust for donating their beautiful space for this event. This special awards ceremony would not be possible without their incredible generosity.

And to all our young supporters who celebrated with us, thank you. Your compassion and commitment to improving lives are inspiring, and we are so grateful for all your efforts.

We’re already looking forward to what the Young Supporters Awards 2026 will bring. If you know of a school, youth group or young individual who would like to support our work, please email fundraising@frameworkha.org to discuss how they might be able to make a difference.
