This weekend, Framework will be joining the celebrations at Nottingham Pride, standing alongside LGBTQ+ communities and promoting the importance of safe, inclusive support for everyone.
Pride is a chance to celebrate identity, visibility and belonging, while also raising awareness of some of the challenges LGBTQ+ people can face. According to Crisis, research from Stonewall found that almost one in five LGBT people have experienced homelessness at some point in their lives, rising to 25% of trans people. Crisis also highlights research from LGBTQ+ youth homelessness charity Akt, which found that 77% of LGBTQ+ young people cited family rejection, abuse or being asked to leave home as a cause of their homelessness.
At Framework, we believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home and access to support that recognises and respects their individual experiences. Through our housing, health and recovery services, we help people to build stability, improve wellbeing and move forward with confidence, regardless of who they are or the challenges they face.
We’re proud to work with partners including Nottingham Recovery NetworkandThe Health Shop, which provide inclusive support, harm reduction information and safe spaces for people to access advice without judgement.
If you’re attending Nottingham Pride, come and say hello to the Framework team atStand 18 in Sneinton Market. We’d love to meet you and share more about the support available through Framework.
