Sincil House Opens in Lincoln

We’re thrilled to announce the opening of Sincil House, a new purpose-built supported housing scheme in Lincoln for people with a history of rough sleeping. This latest development takes our investment in accommodation for homeless people in the city to over £9.6 million. Sincil House, located on Lincoln High Street, offers 15 self-contained flats where residents can access tailored, comprehensive support to help them rebuild their lives. Our staff will be on-site 24/7, helping residents regain stability, achieve independence, engage with their community, and improve their quality of life.
Sincil House has some unique features that make this supported housing facility as welcoming and homely as possible. We have worked hard to make the flats pet friendly, and out of the six residents who have already moved in, some have brought their dogs with them. There is also “the store”, a space which contains free, donated clothes and allows residents to clean and look after their laundry.

The official opening was marked by Cllr Naomi Tweddle, Leader of the City of Lincoln Council, who cut the ribbon alongside our Chief Executive Andrew Redfern and Deputy Chief Executive Claire McGonigle.
Our CEO Andrew Redfern said:
“The development of Sincil House is the latest evidence of Framework’s long-term commitment to increase the quantity and improve the quality of accommodation for homeless people across Lincolnshire.
“This new accommodation service will be Framework’s fifth major capital investment in Lincoln. It brings Framework’s investment in the city to more than £9.6m and means that Framework can accommodate more than 100 homeless people across Lincoln at any one time.”
This £2.65 million project was made possible through a partnership with the City of Lincoln Council, who helped us secure the site and access funding from the national Single Homelessness Accommodation Programme (SHAP) which also includes funding to run the service for the first two years. Framework also contributed £950,000 to supplement the government’s £1.7 million capital grant.
Construction was carried out by the Gelder Group, who brought care and quality to every stage of the project. CEO Steve Gelder said:
“It’s been a pleasure to deliver our first development for Framework, an organisation that makes a real difference to those in need of support.”
We’re proud that Sincil House will provide a safe, welcoming home and the support people need to rebuild their lives.
