Service description
Faith in Families is an independent children’s charity in West Bridgford, Nottingham, providing comprehensive adoption and children’s services to people of any or no religious affiliation living throughout the East Midlands.
The agency is primarily involved with the placement of children for adoption who are Looked After in the care of Local Authorities. The Agency’s key role is to recruit, prepare and assess prospective adoptive parents for these children. The Agency currently offers a range of children’s services, including adoption support and group work to children and families and a Schools and Community service which provides social work services directly to students in both secondary and primary education.

Additional information
The services a student may be involved in include adoption work, direct work with children and school social work. A car driver is required and a student may be expected to travel across the East Midlands region and at times work unsocial hours.
With particular reference to adoption work, this placement would best suit a second or third year student and/or a student with previous relevant experience.
