Energy bills are soaring at unprecedented levels and this winter is set to leave millions more people in poverty. In response to this, the government set up a scheme in which each household across the UK are being given £400 grant to help with costs. While many will be living in poverty this winter, some of us won’t.
Framework are asking those who those who feel they can manage without it to please donate. With your generous donations we can be there to provide crisis support to people in need.
Baroness Ruth Lister of Burtersett, one of our generous regular donors has kindly donated her £400 grant to Framework, so we can help those who are struggling in poverty.
“Some of us don’t need the energy rebate as much as others do. I am therefore keen to put the money to good use by supporting a local charity such as Framework. I know they’ll put the money to good use supporting homeless people and helping to prevent homelessness. I hope others will join me.”
All funds donated will be used to support our work with homeless and vulnerable people across the East Midlands – adding value to work funded from statutory sources and helping people to move on in their lives.
