We challenge you to give up your warm bed for one night and throw down your sleeping bag at Framework’s Big Sleep Out on Thursday 10th November 2011 – spend the night sleeping outside to raise money for local homeless and vulnerable people.
Since June, rates of rough sleeping and homelessness in Nottingham have more than doubled. This has come at a time of dramatic cuts to funding. Some services for homeless and vulnerable people have been forced to close and the capacity of some remaining services has been significantly reduced. Local people need your help.
By taking part in Framework’s Big Sleep Out, you help to raise awareness about homelessness and funds to support Framework’s Anniversary Appeal. This urgent appeal will help Framework to tackle homelessness more effectively. Money raised will allow Framework to continue working with increasing numbers of rough sleepers, recruit and train more volunteers, provide more resources to deliver life skills training, and provide emergency legal help for people facing eviction.
Thank you to everybody who took part in this year's event, which was a huge success.
You can still support local homeless and vulnerable people by hosting a Framework "Big Sleep In" event.
Groups have the opportunity to hold an independent event in the comfort of their own premises as part of Framework's Big Sleep In. For more information please email events@frameworkha.org
