What's it all about?
Rough sleeping is rapidly increasing and Framework needs your help to tackle it. Sleeping out at Big Snore is a great way to demonstrate your concern and raise funds that will help people off the streets.
It is not possible to recreate the horror of sleeping rough for real. However for one night only you can join Framework and many of its supporters by challenging yourself to brave the cold and sleep without home comforts.
The evening is a fun event for a serious cause and every penny raised will be used to support work with homeless people in Mansfield.
The Snore will start with competitive shelter-making with a prizes for the most inventive. You will be entertained with a range of acts and there will be delicious food to enjoy.
When the entertainment closes "lights out" will come and the real challenge begins. Although there will be warm drinks and clean toilets available for participants all night, your shelter will then be your home and protection from the elements under the night sky.
There will be plenty of opportunities to learn more from Framework representatives and service users and ask any questions you may have about homelessness.
This is a true challenge but a worthwhile one. We've had participants sleeping out from 5 years old into their seventies. All are welcome to join us at Vision West Nottinghamshire College on Friday, March 23rd.
