Gateway to Nature

This is a service that supports people who want to overcome barriers to getting out and enjoying natural and green spaces. These barriers may include; lack of information, isolation, a loss of confidence, health or transport problems.

Gateway to Nature is a Framework service that will:

  • Provide information about what's on offer in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire
  • Offer bite-sized opportunitites for involvement in nature related activities
  • Give support in accessing new and exciting activities such as nature walks, wildlife identification, gardening and conservation, locally and further afield.
  • Support, encourage and maintain involvement in green and nature related activities, leading to volunteering, training and employment.
  • Support and encourage those who wish to volunteer in this project
  • Work closely with other community groups, organisations and custodians of green spaces.

Robert Macfarlane is the patron of this project. Read the latest Gateway to Nature blog.
