This year a number of our long-serving board members are retiring so we are looking for 4 new Board Members (including the chair of our Audit and Risk Management Committee) to contribute to the strategic direction of our successful and expanding organisation. Your contribution will make a real difference to the life chances of the people we support each year.
We work in an environment where the landscape is continually changing and is challenging. Budgets for support services have been drastically cut so we have had to think carefully about how we create efficiency without compromising on quality. Austerity measures continue and this is likely to mean vulnerable people falling through the gaps. By becoming a Board Member at Framework, you will be part of a new team that will help to navigate a path that presents new challenges and opportunities.
In terms of our scale, we work with over 18,000 individuals per year across our services, we have housing accommodation of over 1,000 units (including emergency accommodation). The annual turnover last year was c£42m and we employ over 1,000 staff to deliver our services. We work across a range of geographies including Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire and would particularly welcome applicants from outside our core Nottinghamshire base.
We are keen to attract applicants who share our values and ethos, and who are committed to helping to make a real difference to the life chances of the vulnerable people that we support. We are specifically targeting people with experience in the following areas:
- Mainstream housing
- Lived experience
You will join the Board at an exciting time; we have a new corporate plan, we have recently completed our first in depth assessment by the Regulator of Social Housing concluding with a Governance and Viability Standard rating of V2/G2 and we are working with the regulatory seeking to enhance our rating to a V2/G1 status. We are celebrating achieving Investors in People Gold.
