"After a particularly fierce family fall out in August my Dad told me to leave. I packed up bag with a blanket and a few clothes and walked the five miles to Nottingham city centre, the streets of which would soon become my home. I wasn’t prepared for the loneliness, fear and discomfort of sleeping out, it was cold and it made me unwell. I was referred to Framework and now live at an accommodation service in Gedling.

"I feel so much safer here and I’m learning skills that will help me to manage my own flat and reconnect with my family. Christmas is now something I’m looking forward to due to two things I aim to do; firstly I’ll spend it with my family but I’ve also been saving up all the pennies I can find and I’m going to give it back to support other people facing homelessness at Christmas.
