Daddy's Little Girl

Daddy's little girl weeps
As she sits there watching the TV
He can see her every tear
But does he care?
As he comes near it's his fists that she fears
while she's choking on her blood stained tears.
What will she say tonight to make him flip
Tomorrow she will wake up with a fat lip.
It's him she fears most in the world.
Don't hit me daddy, don't hit me daddy please,
She pleads with him on bended knees.
As he passes her on the way to the kitchen
he puts his hand on her head and says "you've nothing to fear
I'll never hurt my little girl".
But daddy you're destroying me
a voice says in the corner of her frail and decaying mind.
Love and tenderness she just can't find in him,
Daddy, why can't you just be kind.
Tear stained pillow case
she just can't sleep.
She lies there in the dark
Counting sheep, all she wants is his love and time
But all she gets is tear stained cheeks
And promises he never keeps.
