About us

We support people who face additional barriers into work such as those who are disabled, in receipt of health-related benefits or are long term unemployed.

Better Working Futures aims to bring together jobseekers, support services and employers in Nottingham, Newark and Sherwood, Bassetlaw and Rushcliffe to provide greater opportunities for those looking for work.

What are we doing?

Our employment advisors offer specialised advice, guidance, skills training and health support and follow a simple plan to get those who are disabled, in receipt of health-related benefits or are long term unemployed back in to the workplace:

  • Getting to know you
  • Creating a plan with you about how you can start working
  • Managing your health
  • Offering help with finding training and skills support
  • Helping you apply for jobs
  • Supporting you with personal circumstances which might affect your chances of getting a job
  • Keeping in touch once you start work.

Working closely with an advisor will help them to get to know you and match you with the right employment opportunities, supporting you along the way.
