How does your local area serve the needs of a homeless person? Try looking at your area through Roofus' eyes and see what facilities are available that are accessible to him. How does your area meet his needs?


Consider the issues around homelessness through Roofus' story and address these in letter or diary style.


What  would be essential in a home? Children are invited to reflect on what 'stuff' they really need.


Building on the ideas of what is essential from PSHE, children design and make a room for a homeless person to live in, including the essentials for living.
