A Mansfield restaurateur has cooked up another donation to Framework’s ongoing £30,000 rough sleeper recovery appeal.
The Chand Indian Restaurant, in Toothill Road, kindly donated 40 per cent of its food takings from a special day of trading last month – a hefty total of £1,006.

Owner Mutahear Chowdhury said: “Framework does so many good things in this community that we were keen to help out in any way we can. We were delighted to raise so much.”
Framework, which operates the town’s Sherwood Street homeless accommodation, wants to help former rough sleepers into homes of their own but needs money to provide suitable training and support. More than £15,000 has been raised so far – thanks mostly to the recent Mansfield Big Snore.
Chris Senior, head of Fundraising and Communications at Framework, said: “I would like to thank Mr Chowdhury for his support. This is just the kind of initiative we need to help us achieve our goals in this community.”
