Survival Skills for the Home

 The Training Centre's new course is now up and running! 

SS4TH, it is Survival Skills for the Home, which has been specially designed to be delivered in a purpose build ‘mock flat’ and has a hands on approach to learning with thanks to Deloitte who provided funding for the flat and Domestic & General who provided appliances for the mock kitchen. The course covers skills such as tenancy management, getting the most from your home, home maintenance (basic electrics, plumbing and DIY) and Health and Safety in the home. Any Framework Service User can be referred to take part in the course, which is x1 day per week (afternoons) over 6 weeks.

Lunch is provided and travel expenses will be reimbursed.

The training centre also has a number courses such as IT drop in sessions and in the future courses will be available on interpersonal skills, digital inclusion upcycling courses with Nottingham City College.
