Service description

Haven House is 6 bed mental health crisis house, staffed 24 hours per day with a minimum of two staff on site at any one time.  Guests are referred directly via the City and South Nottingham CRHT teams and must be experiencing a mental health crisis. Guests are able to stay at the house for up to 5 days but there is no minimum length of time of stay.  After staying at the house it is anticipated that guests return to the community and thus avoiding the need of an admission to an acute psychiatric ward.  Each guest is required to take part in a daily one to one meeting with a crisis and recovery worker and to use the recovery star to help facilitate their recovery.  Activities, such as arts & crafts, self-massage workshops, meditation, yoga/stretching, mindfulness and grounding techniques etc are offered to guests.
