Diners will have the opportunity to help homeless and vulnerable people this  Christmas – without leaving the comfort of their restaurant tables.

Nottingham charity Framework, in partnership with top local restaurateurs, will again be taking part in the UK-wide Streetsmart scheme, where customers can make a voluntary £1 donation at the end of their meals throughout November and December.

Customers, with the help of advisory table and menu cards, will be able to make or even opt-out of the payment with the minimum of fuss.

Every penny raised – thanks to the support of scheme sponsors Deutsche Bank, who are funding all administration costs – will go to Framework, helping it deal with unprecedented cuts to its funding in challenging economic times.

Getting involved is as simple as visiting one of the following restaurants in Nottingham throughout November and December and leaving a £1 donation when you pay your bill:

Michael Leng, Framework’s Operations Director, said: “Christmas is a time of year associated with thinking of others and giving generously. We are delighted that, once again, some of the region’s top restaurants have agreed to take part in the scheme.
