Celebration of Nottingham Music Scene Supports Framework

This Sunday across Nottingham city centre the brilliant Hockley Hustle brings together more than 200 acts in a day-long celebration of the vibrant and infinitely varied Nottingham music scene.

Not only will it be a monster of a musical party but it’s supporting a number of good causes – including Framework.  We really appreciate that this major Nottingham event has chosen to support our work with the growing number of homeless people locally. And how appropriate so close to World Homeless Day!

Among the 19 great venues hosting this wealth of musical talent is our very own Music Exchange at 2 Stoney Street in the Lace Market.  The Music Exchange kicks off the whole event with Thin Raft at 12 noon – the first of four acts performing there during the afternoon.

This small shop which makes a big difference is not only highly regarded for its outstanding selection of vinyl recordings but also for its work as a social enterprise which provides work experience for vulnerable people and promotes local musicians.

To celebrate the Hockley Hustle the Music Exchange has a prize draw until the end of the month with tickets for several local events on offer.  To enter all you have to do is send your email address to themusicexchange@frameworkha.org – or better still drop in and say hello.

It sounds as if we are set for a great weekend weather-wise so we look forward to seeing you in Nottingham city centre on Sunday.  For details click.
