Runga Run raises more than £8,000
Laughter, cheers and a whole lot of colour filled the air as more than 100 runners took part in the inaugural Runga Run.
Runners, ranging in ages between six and 60, gathered at Kelham Hall on Saturday morning to take on a five kilometre route around the grounds, as volunteers showered them with coloured corn flower.
More than £8,000 has been raised in sponsorship money, which will be used to help people who are homeless, prevent home.
Event organiser Sarah Cross said: “I would like to thank everyone who took part on the day. I was delighted by the turnout at our first colour run and am already looking forward to next year. I’d also like to thank our sponsors, Hunter Property, and all the volunteers from Rapid Relief Team who made the event possible.”
