Guests enjoy open day and BBQ
More than 50 people attended an open day at a Framework accommodation service in Newark yesterday.
Invited guests – including neighbours, partner agencies, local authority staff and councillors – took the opportunity to explore Russell House and chat to service users and staff.
Russell House is one of four emergency accommodation hostels operated by Framework in Nottinghamshire. Housing up to 15 people at any time, the service, which is staffed 24 hours a day, is designed to help homeless people in emergency need and prepare them to live independently in the future.
Guests enjoyed a BBQ lunch prepared by staff and residents, and had the opportunity to witness an education session on independent living.
The event was designed to engage stakeholders and remind them of the impact the service has in the community.
